eccentric load

Hello

I am now quite a novice user and I have few problems. My biggest problem is how to create a loading case which has eccentric load on liner element.
Example: if I have my linear element dimension b=30cm and h=40cm lenght 8m. If I click add linear load it will automaticly put it in the center of my element. How can I put it right or left from axis. Not in 15cm from left (or right) end but let say 5cm from one end.
Is it possible to do this or do I have to calculate M1 (torque around main axis of the element) by "hand"?

This is Your biggest problem ? Then You are doing fine !
It is quite easy to calculate M1 manually and assign as a linear load acting at the centroid axis.
