Maybe is good to make import option to import only 2d - and tower replace Z coordination with zero. I often make industrial platforms an such option will be very good or working ifc import.

In last build 8536 IFC import don't work properly - profile is displaced by Z. I continue to use Robot to convert from Advance Steel-> Robot -> DXF do import in Tower 8. Transfer info for steel section is good but is not enough for complete transfer data model to other software such Advance Steel.

We use new option in Tower 7 - links and see one problem. If we want to delete one link in section X1, the other link behind section X1 - in X2.....Xn will be deleted too.

i have one more suggestion:

Can you add option in:
Level Edit ->to create automatic level not only for plate but and for linear and joint supports.
Often need to model divides and move plates up and then have to manually enter a new level of supports
